Roman Road, Bearsden

This project involved the conversion and rear extension of a 2 storey stone villa in a Conservation Area of Bearsden. Although the main front rooms to the house were bright and spacious to the rear a very small and dark kitchen and utility space bore no relationship with the large walled garden. The proposals involved the erection of a new 2 storey extension providing a large kitchen / dining / living space at ground level opening onto a rear terrace. A shower room and new utility room to the gable give a secondary access to the rear garden.
Above these rooms,on the first floor, a new master bedroom with en suite and dressing room overlooks the rear garden with an additional childs bedroom adjacent.
