Fern Tower, Dowanhill
This proposal involved the subdivision of a grade B detached sandstone villa to provide two very high quality apartments with restoration of all the original features, and where these were missing or damaged, their re instatement. Given the prime location in the heart of the West End Outstanding Conservation Area, it was essential that the quality of the subdivision was appropriate to the standards expected in this area. The rear mews extension is converted into a 2 storey 3 bedroom house with private access and patio area. The architectural reworking of the interior of the property has resulted in the formation of these units with minimal alteration to the existing floorplans.
