Calderbank Mill, Lochwinnoch
This proposal which has just received planning permission involves the retention of the existing Calderbank Mill ruins and the reinstatement of the original mill building to create one dwelling house. Natural stone walling, slate roofing and timber windows will recreate the historic form of the Mill. To the south elevation a simple glass extension will open the living space to the terrace and river beyond. To the east a mill wheel will be re instated and the mill race re formed falling into the river below. The house will have private garden ground to the west overlooked by the entrance elevation with dedicated parking at the upper level access road.
